Health and Safety Update

UPDATE:  May 12th, 2020

The Lake Forest II Board of Directors has developed a framework for a gradual reopening of some amenities. This plan will be revisited weekly and approved in stages.


Note: Guests will not be allowed in the facility during this transitional time. Members in the same household units are not expected to social distance from one another. Staff is available to take reservations and an online system will be used to facilitate this. Lifeguards will be on duty to monitor the pools. A waiver must be completed for anyone using the facility. Any person violating the rules could be suspended from reservations for an appropriate length of time.

Stage 1: Reopen the Upper Tennis Courts and Pickleball Courts. Play is by reservation only; please see the Emergency Rules adopted by the Board on May 6, 2020. Staff has developed safety protocols including a plexiglass shield at the Pro Shop, a staggered reservation system through to limit number of members entering, playing and exiting at any time, an exit separate from the entrance, dedicated entrances to each courts, and removal of most seating areas. A restroom will not be available, and we are not able to provide water for players during this time. Hours for the Upper Courts are 7:15 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. pending staff availability. These hours will continue until the Board approves a closure of 9:00 p.m. THIS STAGE HAS BEEN APPROVED AND HAS BEGUN

Stage 2: Reopen the Lap Pool for lap swimming and water walking. Lanes can be reserved through the Pool Reservations tab beginning 72 hours prior. Adjacent restrooms will be open. One swimmer per lane, except during hours designated for two people within the same household. – Possible date 05/18/20

Stage 3: Reopen the Exercise Pool and Diving Pool. Capacity of the Exercise Pool would be limited to 16, and members would reserve a staggered time slot 72 hours in advance. The Diving Pool will be divided into 3 sections and a household could reserve a section, which would include a shallow end and a deep end. Some deck furniture will be available and spaced throughout, and some will be stacked and unavailable.-Possible date 05/23/20

Stage 4: Could be approved to begin concurrently with Stage 3. Board could review and determine if it is appropriate to open at the same time as the pools or wait an additional length of time. Volleyball and basketball with rules currently being developed. Specifically no contact, no pickup games, each can be reserved by households (1 per ½ basketball court). Lower tennis courts would open as well. – Possible date 05/23/20 or later

At the end of May the Board could discuss a procedure for reopening picnic areas, grass areas, fitness center, playground, Spa, etc. based on state and county guidance.
