The Annual Meeting was attempted on August 3, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. As the 50% quorum had not been reached, the members present voted to adjourn the meeting to August 13, 2020 at 4:00 p.m., at which time the meeting will be called to order and the ballots counted if the 25% adjourned meeting quorum has been reached.
The City of Lake Forest Planning Department has posted public notice of a pending application for the demolition of the former US Bank building to be replaced with the proposed 4,600 sq. ft. car wash tunnel and 13 self-service vacuum stalls, at the Heritage Hill Center at the northwest corner of the intersection of Lake Forest Drive and Serrano Road.
The Board adopted a resolution to prepare and deliver a letter from LFII to the City of Lake Forest Planning Department summarizing the concerns identified and requesting a response from the City as to what solutions, if any, will be incorporated into the project design to mitigate these issues such that they would be rendered to levels of insignificance, Please click here to see the letter sent by the Board of Directors.

On the webpage, find the August 6, 2020 Planning Commission Meeting and click on “Full Agenda Packet” to review the report and attachments. The public comments submitted by the HOA are included in Attachment 9 of the report. As addressed in the report, staff has determined that the project is not in compliance with the City’s General Plan goals and policies and the project is not compatible with the surrounding area. Therefore, City Staff is recommending denial of this project to the Planning Commission.
This item is scheduled for the August 6, 2020 Planning Commission meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m.. Pursuant to Executive Order N-29-20 and given the current health concerns, THE MEETING WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.
